NEUTREC^® technology is a reference in this sector with 14 plants currently in operation.

Our experience shows that the NEUTREC^® process can easily meet local pollution standards, in particular in regard to the hydrochloric aid (HCl) that this industry produces.

Certain manufacturing processes allow the residual sodium chemicals (RSCs) from purification with sodium bicarbonate to be recycled. This includes secondary metals smelting where the RSCs can be substituted for the raw material in the melted salts (NaCl) bath.

In this way the operator uses fewer raw materials and no flue gas purification residues are tipped on landfill sites.

Performance of sodium bicarbonate:
By way of example, sodium bicarbonate has demonstrated its efficiency in reducing the HCl concentration in raw flue gases from 150-250 mg/Nm³ to values under 10 mg/Nm³.
