Special industrial waste |
Concentrations of acid pollution produced by combustion vary considerably, owing to the very diversified origin of special industrial waste. Notwithstanding this, the very high purification levels obtained by the NEUTREC® process enable operators to meet the strictest gaseous emission limits, such as those imposed by European Directive 2000/76/EC on waste incineration.
In addition to efforts to prevent its production, and to reduce its volume and toxicity, special industrial or pharmaceutical industry waste can frequently be recycled into materials or energy, within the limits set by their environmental impact.
This waste is composed essentially of residues generated by the fabrication processes:
- organic waste
- liquid and semi-liquid mineral waste
- solid mineral waste.
