In the case of French legislation, all waste incineration installations corresponding to a heading of the law and to this title are authorised and regulated.
The transcription into French law of Directive 2000/76/EC has been published in the form of two decrees:
- Decree of 20 septembre 2002 concerning non-hazardous waste incineration and co-incineration installations, and installations for the incineration of hazardous hospital waste, modified by the decree of February 10th, 2005;
- Dercree of 20 septembre 2002 concerning dangerous waste incineration and co-incineration installations.
