An example of adaptability |
Performance measurements from an industrial site fitted with the NEUTREC® process demonstrate how an installation can be easily adapted to changing emission limits.
The recordings reproduced below (carried out during 1998) relate to 12-hour periods with two different emission limits:
- respecting an average HCl emission limit of 50 mg/Nm³ dry at 11 % O2
- respecting an average HCl emission limit of 10 mg/Nm³ dry at 11 % O2
To move from the first to the second limit, all the operator had to do was to modify the parameters regulating the flow of bicarbonate. The flow was adapted automatically and no equipment needed to be modified.
