COMMENT

This plant is one of the first ones in Japan equipped with the dry sodium bicarbonate system, as the result of the distribution agreement between engineering company TAKUMA CO., LTD. (www.takuma.co.jp) and the Japanese subsidiary of Solvay Group. This agreement has been signed end of 2000 for the promotion and the implementation of the process, as well as the sales of sodium bicarbonate BICAR® for flue gas cleaning in Japan. Numerous Japanese collectivities are very attentive to purify completely their incineration flue gases, and the very high efficiency of sodium bicarbonate, especially with regard to SO2, has convinced them.
